How to travel to Lake Tekapo
By car: Lake Tekapo is 230 km or 3h by road from Christchurch, travelling via Ashburton, Geraldine and Fairlie.
By bus: Intercity. A bus leaves Christchurch daily at 8.30 am, arriving Tekapo at 12.05 pm. For the return, depart Tekapo 12.50 pm arr. Christchurch Airport 4.00 pm, Christchurch city 4.30 pm. See www.intercity.co.nz.
